Thought I would just get this one going. We had a sold out shoot with much rain in the forecast. Appleseed weekend in Florida = rain! The shoot boss advised wearing tall rubber boots but, at least on Saturday, we mostly lucked out. The range had been freshly graded and most of the mud was confined to one corner. With a variety of shooters, old and young, the marksmanship showed leaps and bounds and by the end of the day we had revealed three new Riflemen. Even more remarkable was that all three were first time Appleseeders! Sunday morning saw the range under water from the all night rain and the target line was pulled up and paraded to a different and drier range. Not too surprisingly the number of shooters was greatly diminished but, despite the forecast, eight hardy souls came back to improve their shooting skills. I will leave the details and photos to our shoot boss but suffice to say, the instructors were well paid this soggy weekend in Florida.
