But Appleseed is a family, so this is Appleseed news. This is a summary of all I know, about the Appleseeders I know well enough to know where they live.
3HOLEPETE got his extended family off Galveston Island, where damage ranges from minor to total. All are well, but there's no info yet on property damage to his place there. Today was the first day residents were allowed back on the island to assess damage, and begin cleanup and repair. No news that I've heard except that all are safe.
Alonso1, sleepy Joe, and Sir Not Appearing In This Film all live in Houston. All and their families are uninjured, but are greatly inconvenienced, but apparently no catastrophic property damage.
No word from dkrongard, who lists both Sugarland (suburban Houston) and Victoria as home. Hope and trust he got to Victoria.
Groundhog, Big D, LabRat, I, shunt, wcmartin1, voortrekker, and Golfer7080 all live far enough west that we missed most of the excitement (Except LabRat, who went to the Davilla shoot!)
Scout's place took minor wind damage, but all there are safe.
Counselor (NE Texas) and smle (NW Arkansas) likely got really heavy rain, but I've heard nothing from them, so I assume all is well.
Any that suffered damage, PLEASE feel free to call on your extended Appleseed Family for whatever help you need. I wouldn't have written this if I didn't mean it.
Update as of Wednesday morning: Smle suffered no damage personally, but NW Arkansas has a lot of wind damage, power outages. Winds were 75 mph in some areas. Lotsa trees there, some of them fell down.
