Title: Pensacola, FL Dec 7-8, 2013
Post by: Engineer shooting on December 09, 2013, 05:46:45 PM
The trusty staff of Alchemist, Blackfog and the ever cheerful Lucky Lori made things run smoothly and safely.

We were prepared for almost everything. spare rifles, slings, magazines and loaned them all out and Alchemist loaned more.  It was the first time we loaned clothing. The Saturday "forecast" for Pensacola was low of 52 degrees, it was 40 with high winds and light rain. A lot of shivering was going on.  A family with young kids were the first to bail, Saturday morning. Sunday it got back into the 70s.

At the end of the day Sunday 50 % of the brave souls left had patches either new or re-qualified. Men and women who knew well what they were about.

Those who didn't earn the coveted patch made tremendous progress and I was proud of every one of them.

It was an interesting and challenging weekend for all, both shooters and staff.  Great job to all the shooters who showed up and worked so hard to learn, stay warm and improve. We all had a good time even with the cold weather on Saturday. Sunday did warm and the shooting  and moral improved. Great job.    Hope to see many return in February when appleseed   returns to Pensacola.  Lucky   Lori
