"A Rifleman behind every yucca", and this weekend put another into the field. With active duty military, law enforcement, political candidates, and families, Glenn, 16 years old shot an impressive 197 Saturday afternoon in our only AQT for the day. He followed that up Sunday with a 210 and a 213 and finished off with an AR-15 (that was WAY too long for him) at the end of the day Red Coat with a 400 yard qual and the Murphy square. Good shooting Glenn! You know very well what you are about! :) And wear that North Bridge water with class.:)
Red Coats Saturday morning was ugly. 11 shooters 1 at 300, 1 at 200, and 1 at 100... The bayonets were coming. Myself and 3 orange hats got to work with the addition of 2 red hats minus an orange on Sunday and minus 2 shooters, Sunday afternoon had one Rifleman, and 4 knocking on the door, one with a 209 on the last AQT. Sundays Red Coats only had 1 bayonet! The story was told of the sacrifices and decisions common folks made and this nation was born. It was a glorious weekend. Thanks to Milt, Margie, Kara, Archie, and Richard (our newest orange hat) for your fine work.
Josh, our youngest shooter, Glenn, Tyler, and Maggie, you are all fine Americans and it was a pleasure and honor to spend the weekend with you. Liz, Jeff, James Josh, Jerry, Betty Ann, Matt, You were all so close, get in those dry fire reps and you'll be there. Persistence! On behalf of the Appleseed instructor crew, thank you...O.L.
