Amazing turnout this weekend in Byers at the Colorado Rifle Club!
Big thanks to OneShot_OneHole and Prone To Knit for setting everything up and the CRC for once again being a great host!
Eight instructors and IITs were pleased to have 33 students on the line on Saturday and 34 on Sunday including 15 folks from a local scouting organization, a student who traveled all the way from Wyoming and one family that spanned 3 generations, truly a blessing to have such a turnout.
When we arrived Saturday we discovered some range changes reduced our firing line length, but like true riflemen-to-be the students were willing to cram in and get on with the weekend.
With a large number of first time shooters we were very lucky to have such a large contingent of Colorado instructors enduring the cold and the winds, telling history and giving instruction.
One riflemen was made this weekend but plenty more seeds were planted, I fully expect to see a lot of these folks back on the line at future events.
Hopefully someone will come along and add some thoughts and pictures, but as always BrassBucket and I were glad we spent our weekend in the pursuit of liberty.
A belated message
Amazing weekend, the kid were awesome, planting a seed, they are the future of this great nation.
Good to see everyone again, looking forward to an even greater 2014!
The message has to get out and more seeds planted. Some will fall on flat head rocks and wither and die, some will land on fertile ground and germinate. Don't worry about the one that don't make it, just keep planting as fast as you can!
