Title: The Thank you Thread
Post by: LadyE on October 29, 2013, 10:29:03 PM
Hello everyone,

Not to many of you know me personally for those that don't I am Macey Kintigh aka LadyE (Bluehat), I got involved with Appleseed because my daughter loves it, her Grandpa (Graywolf), Uncle (3.dogs), Aunt (Pinkey), her Dad (Click) and I are all hatted members. She started shooting well before I even wanted to be involved, I was not fond of guns and her love of them help to draw me in, I was sold after Pinkey dragged me to a Ladyseed, and we have been involved ever since. Those of you that know my daughter know her as Myki or ESquared, she coined the phrase "Eyes and Ears" and says it a split second after the line boss says, "You Preparation Period Begins Now." She loves this program and is very fond of her Appleseed "family."
I started this Thank you Thread, because of ESquared and her Pumpkins she, her Dad and I carved this year for Halloween, we carved them Sunday night, and put them on the porch as we do every year. They have never been messed with before Halloween, just once the night of, so it wasn't to upsetting. Anyway, around 11:30 Sunday night, 3.Dogs heard something slam into the front door, one of them was in pile at the bottom of the door and the other two on the ground, Click and I were angry to say the least. When I came inside after seeing if the person(s) who did it were still around, I made a post on FB about the situation and how upsetting it was that someone would destroy all the hard work put into her pumpkins and that I was disappointed because I would not be able to replace them for her in time. SO many of my friends offered to get her new pumpkins, or for her to come out and pick out new ones from different patches in my area.
The reason I am putting this story here though is because of an amazing person in the Michigan Cadre that heard this story about ESquared and her pumpkins, dropped a gift off at my house addressed to me to help replace her pumpkins, and help with her Christmas or something she needed. I was so overwhelmed when I opened the envelope and read the note, I just started shaking and tears were flowing. I have never received such a gift from someone, for no reason other than they cared about Myki so much to be willing to do that. It was a huge blessing as she was in desperate need of some new shoes, so I took her tonight and got her some, and have some of it set aside to get her a Christmas present. To whichever Appleseed Angel that did this for us, I want to say from the bottom of my heart, Thank You and I pray God Blesses you in all you do. I hope some day to be able to Thank you in person and hug you for this. Myki is so grateful and Thanks you too.

LadyE (Macey)  :)
