10/22 Barrel Band Sling Adapter
For owners of Ruger 10/22 carbines or take-down models that have a barrel band, this adapter provides a forward 1.25" sling mount without drilling into the stock. It slides onto the fore stock ahead of the barrel band, can be used to replace the barrel band (which is purely for show), or even mounted permanently behind the barrel band. Instructors may also find these a useful alternative to the 'zip tie trick' for improvising sling attachments, as the connection is firmer and much easier to adjust.
Made of ABS plastic in black color, won't mar the stock or barrel. Friction fit, no hardware required. Slides on and off easily, can be used as a quick disconnect. This will fit over a Tech-sight front sight.
I'm asking $13.95 apiece. Buy it on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=141659981983) or I can take payment by Paypal or personal check. PM me for the e-mail or snail mail address, and let me know what you'd like.

BTT. I have eliminated the shipping fee on these.
I saw these in action at Nampa this past weekend. They will save you time sorting out sling issues on brand new 10/22s that don't have swivel posts. Well worth the money to have one or two in your shooting bag.
Bump. Now available on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/GI-sling-adapter-for-Ruger-10-22-with-barrel-band-/141113454875?).
Just got mine from Ebay.
It is a face palm moment. As in why didn't I think of that.
No more zip ties, velcro, chewing gum, bailing wire to improvise a sling adapter.
Going to shorten the Saturday Morning scramble to add slings to student rifles.
A welcome addition to my shoot-box.
Thanks Nero
This is a great idea! O0
Bump.
I'm now making these in black plastic as well as off-white, which matches the black plastic 10/22 take-down stocks better. The ones listed on eBay are still shown in white for now. If you'd like black ones, either put that in a note if you buy on eBay, or contact me directly via PM.
Price reduced to $13.95, shipping included. Last chance before Christmas!
Bump for the new season.
