Title: Adjustable stock pad for 10/22
Post by: mac66 on July 31, 2013, 04:32:48 PM
As most of us instructors know we sometimes have kids or smaller people on the line. The length of pull on most rifles is too long for smaller people and in Michigan we've been able to cut down some donated stocks to use as loners. That works fine except that factory 10/22 stocks tend to be thick in the grip and fore stock which makes it harder for smaller hands to grip.  One of our shooters donated some factory compact stocks to our program that works well.

That shooter, who is now one of our instructors (Wizard) has taken the loaner to the next level by coming up with a way to swap out the recoil pad on the compact stock to make it either compact or full size.  He found a Morgan Recoil Pad kit and adapted it to the 10/22 stock.

Instead of carrying around a bunch of different sized stocks, one can use one stock with different sized pads on it.

You can use it with just the plate in the compact mode or add the pad to it for full size
