Our first shoot at the Fairmont Trap Club!
The club proved to be an excellent site and board member Jason and his fiancee Melanie were very gracious hosts and great participants.
Seven shooters answered the muster drum on Saturday morning. We got off to a good start with some impressive shot groups by late morning.
Over lunch we heard the First and Second strikes of the match. After lunch we worked through the heat and by late afternoon we hear the Third strike of the match. The heat and dead air didn't phase the shooters and they proved they are Rifleman at heart by their attitude and efforts.
Sunday morning started with rain showers and gave way to more heat. After reviewing everything we learned on Saturday, we got into the afternoon grind. Everyone made big improvements through out the week. The tropical weather caught up with the shooters and we all started to fade on Sunday afternoon. Jerry got very close to 210. Tanya was sneaking up on 210 also. John and Justin had the first 3 stages down and just missed putting together stage 4 for a Rifleman's score. Melanie made the most improvements over the weekend going from no groups to hitting the 300yd target on the last RedCoat. Andrew made steady progress all through the weekend too. Nick (10 years old) had the most fun of all the shooters and the smile that came over his face after he shot the Garand on Sunday afternoon was priceless. Dryfire practice will get all of you over the hump!
Thanks to all the shooters who got off the couch and spent their weekend with us. I'd like to give my personal thanks to the instructors Joemorgan, wally, colonialiron and BlueHat Hiromi. They made it very enjoyable for the shooters and myself.

BuzzG
Looks like another great weekend!
What a great group of participants it was, all showed significant improvement, and seemed to very much enjoy the history. Would like to add a hearty round of applause from all the instructors to our shoot boss BuzzG for his hospitality. Lodging, Steak dinner, and awoke Sunday morning to the smell of breakfast cooking and fresh coffee! It made for a truly wonderful weekend. :)
Thanks to all the volunteers and shooters. The long commute was well worth it! Hope to see everyone again soon. :)
