I was thinking about old shooting galleries (with the metal ducks) and wondered what a modified AS target would look like as a rubber duck. I thought maybe the kids (and parents) might appreciate it. (both with and without tricorn hat). What do you think?
Personally,
I like it, I love fun shoots they are a great stress releiver! ..:..
I'm putting together a full test sheet for it. I'm calling it the DQT (Duck Quack Test). I'd be more than happy to do an official version if anyone would like to use it for practice or events.
Thank you, I'll keep some in my shoot box for the occasional bored youth. Also, if you have a sharpie, let them draw their own targets on the backside of a squares or AQT. Some kids have alot of fun this way.

I'd also like some for my shoot box if you'd please. I'll e-mail you my address. Thanks!!
So here's my unofficial (and completely unauthorized) DQT test, although I have no problem giving the artwork over to Fred and other organizers who may desire. I set this one up to scale at 20 yards simply because that's the max. at my indoor range, plus it fits nicely on tabloid sized (11x17 paper) for quick 'n easy printing. Costs about 20 cents a page at Kinko's for copy or .24 cents for a laser print on ivory paper which looks much nicer. Included gif for your viewing pleasure and pdf for printing. Let me know if anyone finds typo's or other errors.
Great stuff bring some to Myakka this weekend We will all shoot one as a Practice AQT! ^:)^ :~ :--- ..:..
Those are great! Thank you! I need to print some off and use with my kids.
I'm hoping to make Myakka on Sunday if I can escape. Although these are about 80 percent smaller than the 25m AQT which is a tight fit on a tabloid-sized paper. I'm looking around for someone to print stuff up to 18x24 without breaking the bank. If I do, I'll be happy to bring them sometime.
I read the verbiage for Stages 2 and 3. The times are 5 seconds too short and the loading is done after the transition. Other than that I think the targets are a hoot!
Thanks,
brian
In the same spirit, here are a couple of fun shoot targets we made up a while back. Most anyone who's had kids in recent years will recognize the reference. These are for 'mad minute' competitions - shoot out as much of the snout as possible.
I know,
I have a friend that can adjust the size accordingly,
that's why I said fun or practice AQT! ..:..
See ya on the trail I'll bring you up to speed on something brewing in our area! %)
