Wow!  What an excellent event!

Thank you, Wolverton Mountain Gun Club, for being excellent hosts.  I am a member of the club and I appreciate the support they have extended for Project Appleseed.  We had four other club members participate in the shoot, a husband and wife team and a father and son pair.  It was great having you all come out to see what we are about.

Low-tech 7th stepping works!  This was my son-in-law's 2nd event and he brought his father and three brothers with him.  Too bad they could only shoot on Saturday.  I know Rodney wants to earn his Rifleman's patch and he was so close at his first shoot.  This time his equipment got in the way when he shot his AQT on Saturday.  One of his brothers is in the navy and is stationed at Bangor Naval Station and he was already talking about doing a shoot at the Poulsbo range.  Poulsbo is right next door to Bangor NS.  Gentlemen, it was a pleasure spending the day with you on the range.  A family that shoots together sticks together.  ;D

Saw a few familiar faces from previous shoots and saw many new faces.  It was great to spend Saturday with you all.  The weather couldn't have been better.  Cool, overcast in the morning and clear skies by lunch.

RL brought his brother to shoot.  I heard RL shot a 247 today and his brother shot a Rifleman's score and earned his patch.  In fact, Mark shot qualifying scores three times!  I hope there is a hat in his future.

TheSquirrelPatrol and cubflyr, thanks for coming out.  I heard you guys did great for your first shoot as IITs!  Wish I could have worked with you more.  Vicar, it was great seeing you again.  Kimber Custom and Flipper, always a pleasure working a shoot with you two.  paulw, thank you for coming out to help on Saturday even though you had some health issues.  Theophilus, thank you for running a great event.  It was a treat to work a shoot with you and Joni again.

I had a great time!  Being an IIT is very different from being a shooter, but just as much fun, if not more.  The weather was great, I love the range, and it seemed to be a great group of students, all of whom made excellent progress.

Here are some pictures I took:
