Title: NW Region Homeschoolers
Post by: George Hacker on June 25, 2013, 04:43:48 PM
I would like to get libertyseeds going in the NW Region with homeschoolers.  Knowing who the key people are in a local area is the way to get your foot in the door.  If you know a "Paul Revere" in homeschooling in your area, please help me to get in touch with them.

Thanks,

ShadowMan

Give me an area (states, ranges) to search, and I can dig out all the shooters who mentioned homeschooling in their Eventbrite registration.

Thanks, scuzzy.  I have tried reaching out to the homeschool groups in my local area, with no success.  I posted this to see if there were some people in my region who had personal contact with the "Paul Revere" of their local homeschool group/co-op.  Perhaps they could act as a bridge builder to get me past the spam/junk mail filters.

Man you wouldn't believe the problems I've had the last month trying to send emails. I've been arguing with godaddy, our server provider, about getting blocked with a '554: Not sent due to SPAM content' I would have never known except for PM or people that have alternative email addresses for me. Seems 'IronPort' from Cisco is one of the problems. And man, Cisco is used by buku companies.

And there was no spam content whatsoever in my emails. I'm starting to think somebody doesn't like me! If I remember correctly you or Theo got blocked trying to send me a hostapp a few weeks back.

Indeed we did.  Sorry to hear the SPAM filter folks don't like you.  Hope that gets resolved.

I am a homeschooling mom (attended my 1st Appleseed in CA) now in the Boise, Idaho area.  Is there a specific area/city you want to promote in?  Maybe I can suggest/connect you to a few key people.

Have you thought about connecting/promoting to the military's homeschooling families?  I would imagine you'd have easier access for that specific group.

We are trying to grow Project Appleseed everywhere in Idaho, but especially the Boise area.  scoob is one of our instructors who lives in the area.

Would love to reach out to military homeschool families, but we haven't been able to get our foot in the door.  We have sent information to military bases in the NW about Appleseed events and have highlighted that military personnel shoot for free, but no response.  Perhaps you could help us connect with military homeschoolers?
