I've been talking to a few buddies, and we're contemplating buying some kits. I'd rather try and find somebody who does a good job of putting them together for us rather than buying a press, drill press, and either buying/building the tooling for it.
Located in Dayton, most of Ohio is under a 2.5 hour trip for me.
Danka!
PM Dinky. She has an AK guy.
She can't accept PMs :slap:
If you are going to do this kind of work buy a knee mill not a drill press.
Hmmmm facebook, maybe? I think shes on there as Dinky also.
I know a machinist in Dayton who can take care of you on that...if you would like me to put you in contact with him, let me know.
I'm just looking for somebody who will either teach for a few cases of their favorite liquid drink within an enlisted person's budget or a few bucks. I've have people offer to do it for $450, which is a :slap: no way price tag. If they'd be willing for cheap, I'd love to.
For the effort to make my VEPR 922r compliant I would rather build a 'meh' AK and keep the VEPR stock setup, it's very ergo friendly for target shooting.
If you're not busy the weekend of the 15th, shoot over to Camp Atterbury where Wolf will be showcasing some of their VEPRs. I'm sure they'll show you a thing or two.
Can't say what he would or would not do. He's a pretty easy going individual tho...if you want me to put the two of you in contact just ask :)
