You can buy one box of each for a total of 1500 rounds. Also if you have multiple credit cards / e-mail addresses you can place multiple orders.

That could be why there's a shortage. Not singling anyone out, just saying. Get what you need, not all that you can get.
Unless you are acquiring for those that have none. That's what we're trying to do.

Couldn't agree more Tom, of all the ammo I ordered today not a single round was for myself, I have plenty. It's to help the new shooters that aren't coming out these days due to lack of ammo.
Sold Out

Uh....that's what we're doing. Acquiring ammo for those that otherwise couldn't come to an AS. That said, it isn't anyone's business why someone decides to buy.
Since the "sold out" flag was waived, maybe thread-jacking would not be rude...so...being an old phart, I can say that this is not the first time I have seen us driven to buy from fear over possible scarcity, but this spell is the longest and worst, in recent memory.
Given that some of our younger shooters may not have considered the practicalities of safe, long-term storage of ammo (which should have a shelf life measured in decades) should we be posting "skills" threads on safe ammo storage? As a history buff, I have enjoyed reading Julius Hatcher's professional opinions on the subject, which illustrate that storing ammo safely does not require you to spend even more money on fancy containers with the zombie biohazard symbol...
Also, since this ammo will last for decades, how much of what is bought/hoarded in haste today will end up on gun show tables next year or in 2020? Maybe none, maybe alot. We can say that ammo which is kept cool & dry will remain a fungible commodity for a long time, which may be a reason to keep it. Each of us must decide for her or himself.
FWIW, back to the original ammo availability...received an email this morning from Cabela's canceling my 1000 round Winchester order, apparently indicating it is sold out for the season. The e-mail is not a model of clarity...although there is plenty of room to offer me the opportunity to sign up for their newsletter and reminding me they have everything I need for The Great Outdoors, the really important part of the note to the customer does not have room for all the customary vowels: "Cancel-Sldout fr season." Perhaps this is a subtle cross-marketing campaign with "Jeopardy"? But in this case I don't want to buy a vowel, just some ammo. :wb:
The 500 round Remington order arrived about 2 weeks ago.
Oz, sorry to hear.
Out of the 7 orders I placed for various people, I've seen all (7) 500 round boxes of Remington Thunderbolt ship and (3) 1000 round boxes of Winchester ship.
On June 12th I got 4 e-mails from Cabela's stating:
"21-7893 WINCHESTER M*22 1000-ROUND PACKS .22LR 40GR PLRN/1000

Yup, me too. No worries, I'll just look at it as money I can spend on Mini-Mags when things free up. Things
will free up, right? :P
I had an order get cancelled also
CCI makes 4 million rounds/day, 28mil/week if they run 7 days a week, 1.46 billion per year divided by 80 million gun owners in USA, that's 18 rounds each per year.
The problem is a lack of manufacturing plus a small uptick in demand.
