The folks at Luckygunner did some comparison tests on eyepro of various sorts.

Worth a read if you shoot anything bigger than a 22LR.
Interesting.
More interesting is that the author does not know how to use foam earplugs. First frame in the video shows the plugs sticking out, not in the ear canal where they can do some good.

Thanks Nero,
I've been using prescription safety glasses for years, figured that they would afford moderate protection.
Can't wait to place them on a foam head and see how the respond to a blast once I have secured a pair of
MIL-PRF-31013 approved eye pro with my prescription.
I am now sending this to several friends that need to be aware of these findings.
Thanks again,
Jerry
I suspect the polycarbonate prescription lenses will be OK if your concern is an OOB 22LR or the like.
But I'm thinking twice about wearing them with a .223 or .308 action a few inches from my face, after reading that...
Thanks for the post. I watched the videos and the went to Amazon and got some Uvex glasses that were Mil-Spec (military Vo ballistic impact test) for under $11.00

Went to the Optometerist, got a new prescription.
Ordered a pair of Wiley X PT-1SCLRX.
Should have them to the Optician by Monday next week to have the prescription Safety lenses made and installed.
Just in case I have anything do a catastrophic malfunction in my hands, again.
