If I may suggest,

A couple of things found here in the article, which I often hear in "the strikes";
- there was no aim command in the British manual of arms
- the British army carried a man's weight in shot to hit him
According to an article in the American Rifleman, a quick analysis of the battle of Lexington/ Concord and the battle of Bunker Hill suggests that the militia were 17 times more likely to hit than a typical European regular.
When marksmanship met history liberty was born. That's not just a slogan; and if true, isn't the maintenance of marksmanship required for the maintenance of liberty?
