To quote Sam Adams "This is a glorious day for America."
Alas not so much for the weather. Despite the cold, six brave souls made it out to our event. It had snowed at the range earlier in the week, so I brought tarps expecting to cover up a mud pit.
Ahh, but Providence had smiled an bestowed upon us a dry range! @)
We got off to a slow start with the usual equipment issues. The students drank deeply from the firehose, and we watched those groups shink. The heritage was well recieved and made an impression on everyone. Unfortunately time and tired muscles conspired to bring the weekend to an end.
To those who didn't get the patch this time, Remember!
A Rifleman PERSISTS!
Total score for the weekend-
Many new friends made. Craig, Kim, Paul, Krista, Parker & James
2 glorious days for America with another fine group of patriots learning to make good use of their freedom.
1 Rifleman patch earned by a four time Appleseeder and fine young man, Parker! ^:)^
And the knowledge that we worked hard to make John Adams smile.
"Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it."
A few pics.
Great weekend. :---
Can't wait until June. There may be a future military member or two there (if I can get them to come).
