WHAT: "Guns Across America" is a peaceful picketing protest against ANY, AND ALL future gun legislation. This is our chance to reach out to our elected officials, and tell them NO NEW GUN LAWS! "Guns Across America" is being tailored to happen in every states capitol city, at their capitol building. The theory behind doing this event on a Saturday, is most conservative gun owners work a typical Monday through Friday job. I'm hoping for a massive response by doing this on a weekend.
WHERE: We will meet on the Corner of E. Broad St. and Third St. We can spread out from there. As of right now, we haven't gotten permission to protest at the State Capitol building, but as long as we stay off the lawn and on the side walk, we should be ok. (Permission for a permit has been requested again.)
WHEN: January 19, 2013 @ 12:00 noon (local time)

On the Ohio event page, there's a poll which currently shows 15 people indicating they will open carry. But there's also mention of a state code that bars weapons from the Capitol grounds, so we'd have to keep it on the sidewalk.

It was GREAT!.......But we have got work to do. I asked lots of these "GUN" folks if they knew about Appleseed. 90% had NO idea. I passed out a lot of trifolds, so hopefully we start hauling them in. There were between 600 to 1000 patriots there, most open carrying, dozens and dozens of rifles :). A fine group of folks from 2 to 90 yrs old.

I was a bit lot disappointed to not see any other AS Instructors there. If there were any there, I missed them. Next time I hope. There is to be another event Friday Feb 8. Saturday would be better for me, but that is what I know so far.
