Title: Texas Weapon Systems Dog Leg Scope Rail for Saiga .308
Post by: Son of Isaac on December 28, 2012, 10:13:31 PM
Does anyone have any experience with this product?  I'm thinking about installing one on a Saiga .308.

Your experience with it's accuracy, return to zero, durability, etc would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'd recommend you check the saga forum in the 308 section.

This is sometimes called a beryl mount.

I've had no luck with these mounts in general (no experience in this particular one) mostly because of fit, but the ones I bought were not explicitly for saigas.  they generally complicate AK takedown.

I've never seen a good optics solution for the AK that doesn't require a chin or throat weld - scout mounts being the exception.  I finally ponied up for an EOTECH mounted forward on a quad rail. I think I spent more on the options than the rifle.
