What a great weekend with a great bunch of fine Americans. Texas hospitality at it's best. 11 shooters on Sat and 7 on Sunday if we count the game warden looking for dove hunters we corraled! :) Cool mornings gave way to warm afternoons, breezy so I got to bring some NM top soil that had blown into Texas back home. The one AQT we got in Saturday afternoon showed we were going to have some Rifleman come Sunday and they did not disappoint. Ryan and Mikeith proved they know very much what they are about, turning out Rifleman scores, Lori, Rendy, Bob, Timothy, Michelle, Matt, Bob D, Sherry and Thomas all knocking at the door. Mallory, the local game warden, threw her on the line about 2 pm for a couple AQT's. Having not observed the fundamentals part, I waved some of the transitions and mag changes and a 227 AQT score resulted. We'll get her back at the next one and we'll have another Riflewoman in uniform!
Great job by all the instructor crew, thanks Duc-Dog for driving all the way from Alamogordo and Heretic for letting everyone try their hand with the M1! :bow: I'm ready to another! O0 ....O.L.
Good deal. Another fine Texas shoot. Good crew. Good instructors. What more could you ask for? Priceless!!!
I just got back last night from a Davilla shoot. It was small, 5 shooters, but what we lacked in numbers was made up for in persistence shown by the shooters. Actually had two older shooters that had never owned firearms till this year. They decided that the 2nd Amendment was a good thing.

A big thanks to OL for coming over from New Mexico once again to help out with a Texas event. We had a great group of shooters this weekend. Congratulations to Ryan and Mikeith for earning their patch! We had several more shooters that were knocking at the door. It was a great event!
