I've been absent from the program most of the spring summer and fall, on account of a busy work schedule. As winter is rapidly approaching and things slowing down at work time is available again. But I only see one shoot on Wisconsin's schedule for the rest of the year. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this correct, or are there events in the works that just did not make the list yet?

If you are free, we can use you down here at Bonfield, IL THIS weekend.

Sadly, Chris it is true. I think the ranges didn't want us there in November possibly because of hunting ...at least that's the only thing I can figure. I want to make sure this doesn't happen next year.
I was thinking the same thing!!! We too have some extra time and were looking for shoots in wi to attend.
We will just have to schedule libertyseeds instead!

The most common answer for that up here is the weekends are occupied by rifle sight-in days. These are huge cash generators for these clubs. We are starting to get on next years schedules now, because some of the clubs hold a lot of events.
Wisconsin need a few DARs!!!!
No shoots in November :-[ huh I wonder what we could do about that. I proclaim November LibrarySeed month in Wisconsin.
We have only done one this whole year. Want to do more for the program? Want to do some good old fashioned community service. What better than telling the story of April 19th at a local event. Easy, free, and you can do it in a couple of hours. No line to set up, no rifles to get in the way just some good story telling.
Get to your local Library, 4H club, whatever club and set up an event NOW. What are we waiting for? I bet we could get at least one a week in November. Thats four more this year, actually Nov. has like 5 weeks. An easy way to get your shoot count up, thats right LibrarySeeds count as shoots.
Alright who's first to get one set up? Don't think about it, just do it &) Any questions? send a pm or call me 608-370-1747

I brought this up awhile back but nothing happened.
We should get our hats and shooting jackets and a bunch of Tri-Folds and volunteer at the ranges sight in days. Nothing sells AS like a quick 3 shot sight in along with a quick IMC and handout.
A group I teach pistol with does this with the ISRA's range with great success.
