Title: Three Forks MT Sept 29,30 2012
Post by: Mark Davis on September 30, 2012, 12:08:37 AM
Thirteen shooters on the line today a Samuel Whittamore  Memorial Range.
Beautiful weather with a few sprinkles before the shoot. No new riflemen yet.
Got a nice visit from Katherine, local TV station reporter.
Have not found video but here is a link to article posted.

Very cute picture of a young shooter.
Back at it again tomorrow.

Two new Riflemen, Jake and Eli, two reconfirmed, Eleven shooters on the line Sunday.
Nice people and decent air quality, it was a good appleseed at Samuel Whittamore Memorial range.
Then there was the  paint ball taped to greencoats, never thought I would be in a ZOMBIE! shoot.
Everybody, (even you holders of the badge of Rifleman) has things to work on, Natural point of Aim, dryfire, practice mag changes,
stock modifications,  for eye and sight alingment, to allow the mags to drop free, and short/long enough to fit you.
Looking forward to seeing you all again.

After hours shooting the thousand yard gong, and suppresed .308 at, what was it 535 yards?
Then Thomas smashed the tannerite, the weekend ended with a boom.

Mark,
You missed one of the new Riflemen, Thomas earned his patch (and coin) on Sunday as well.

Suppressed Remington 700 .308, FNM76 ball ammo, 438yd gong, consistent hits. 45 minutes of elevation and 11 minutes of L windage got it close to the 1000yd gong but the ball ammo wasn't consistent enough to get a hit. A few of the expended bullets were recovered from the ground near the gong though.

The paintballs were a hit with the shooters....looking forward to the pictures.

What a fun weekend!  Lots of determined shooters and that always makes for a great time.  Congrats to Eli, Jake and Thomas on earning your patches!  Kathe and Tye- keep practicing and you'll get there!

Jen- we were so excited to see you come back on Sunday (thanks Web for babysitting!) for a little while and hope you get the chance to come to another one!

Thanks Misfit for letting us shoot the Brown Bess- SO FUN!  And Bru- Zombies were hit!  What a way to get everyone relaxed a little bit :)

Hope to see you all again soon!  Here are some Saturday pictures...
