Title: Montpelier, Virginia September 15-16,2012
Post by: The Wolfhound on September 20, 2012, 09:34:45 PM
Great weather and a magnificent facility!  24 Shooters on Saturday and 16 returned on Sunday.  The weekend saw 2 new riflemen and 2 repeaters (who found themselves with new hats!).    Matt claimed his patch on Saturday and Galen claimed his on Sunday with several Rifleman scores.  Tommie and Andrew succumbed to the arm twisting and accepted the Orange Hat of the IIT after repeating their Rifleman scores.   All of our 6 youth shooters showed great progress and Dominic was sniffing around that 210 mark.

Yes this was a super AS event. However The Wolfhound did fail to mention he likewise received a new hat. Congrat on your efforts as our newest Shoot Boss!
And for all you guys and gals sniffing around that 210 mark-remember to get out to the range with a goal each time. Or if no range time fits the schedule-set up and dry fire a couple times a week. Practice makes perfect. Get set for the next AS and bring some pals with ya.
To our Heritage, for Liberty,

Fun weekend indeed - actually had a small amount of depression from not being out there again on Monday.

Plan to be back again (hopefully with the Misses) to get Rifleman patch #2... and maybe one of those funny little orange hats. :)

Thanks for another excellent Appleseed. At the optometrist the following week I learned of a significant astigmatism in my dominant eye - no wonder I was seeing two of each target...

Inspired by the shoot, I ordered new plates for the truck - you'll now see me on the road as NPOA.

And bought another 10/22.

See y'all in November. Pray for sun.
