Title: loose upper lower
Post by: Bigcountry on August 31, 2012, 01:52:36 AM
I have a S&W 15 that I used at 4 previous Appleseeds, it was brand new when I started Aseed at the last one, about 2300 rnds through it my upper and lower started to move quite a bit and my groups spread out, S&W 15 has NO room for an acc-wedge, none, not even a cut up one, an instructor put his lower on my rifle that had a wedge and it didn't move and my groups went back to 5 shots that you could put a quarter over, need the rifle for Aseed Sep 8-9 so cant send it back to S&W, any suggestions, should I use my friends machine shop to mill out a place for wedge?

A loose fit between the upper and lower is annoying but should not affect the accuracy of the rifle.  You can try a foam earplug or bed the upper and lower together.
