Nice to see some drop-in wood stocks in an adult size for the Marlin 795.

Very nice!

We had a pair of shooters at a recent Mi event with 795's in the SS Evolution stock and Tech Sights.  They looked like excellent stocks with a good cheekweld and no dragging wood due to the pistol grip.  Only comment is that the forend is on the short side so doesn't give much room to vary support hand placement.

I just got an unfinished Boyds Tacticool for my 597 from Midway.  Loving the stock so far.  Very comfortable and well built.  Once I get it finished with some linseed oil I'll be giving it a thorough workout on the range.

The ones I saw were a little gaudy for my taste, but I whittled a mag well into a beech Model 70 stock for my 795.  I made a dog's breakfast out of it, but it gets the point across.  I'll stick with the plastic for LTR employment in all weather, but for excursions to the range it'll do.
