Title: Hodgdon CFE223 powder, anybody used in a 8mm Mauser
Post by: Mauser on August 10, 2012, 02:25:24 PM
I was just looking through the Hodgdon loading manual and saw CFE223 powder that is apparently designed to reduce the copper deposits in the barrels.  I shoot primarily military rifles such as 91/30's, k98's, and M-95's so not exactly new bright shiny bore stuff, but still not a sewer pipe either.  Anyway, i was wanting to put a load together for 8x57 and 8x56R using this stuff to see if it works in my rifles but the data on the 8x57 stops at 180grs, and i shoot 198 to 200gr FMJ's.. additionally no data exists for ht 8x56R so if anybody has any experience with this new fangled stuff i would be very interested in hearing about it and also to see if anybody might have any load data for it for the 8x57 and dare i say the 8x56RS?

Thanks in advance
