Reinforcing the Basics.

Work with 100-400 yards first. Numbers are much easier

Don't forget examples are always perfect. 1 MOA at 100Y. Reality may be different, so in the beginning 2" will work easily too.

100Y/1"        100Y/2"
200Y/2"        200Y/4"
300Y/3"        300y/6"
400Y/4"        400Y/8"

If people start to roll their eyes just change it to Dollars. Everyone can split a dollar into quarters, 50 cents and 3 quarters.

Don't try to dazzle them. KISS

working from 25-100

100Y/1" ($1.00)
75Y/ 0.75" ($0.75)
50Y/0.50" ($0.50)
25Y/0.25" ($0.25)

If your shooter is spanking all over that 1" square. dialing in is probably not the issue to be chasing and you may have a patch winner on your hands.

Every student is an individual case. Judge the receptiveness and try to answer a question in as few words as possible.
