Title: You never know when a rifleman might save a police officer
Post by: techres on August 01, 2012, 08:18:47 PM
RV Park guy takes 165 yard shot to kill bad man and save a police officer:

May it never be needed, ever.  But if it has to happen, may the good guy be the one with the skills.

Read about this today. Good for him.
Actually a 165 yard shot with a .357 Magnum 5" revolver. O0
So he was likely a rifleman with a very SBR. :~

Only the audio comes thru on the YT vid. At least on my c' puter.

Does this mean that we're going to start teaching KD come-ups for .357's?

Ballistics on a .357 are super flat... or so I've been told. Not really any come-ups to speak of. You should be able to just take it out to distance.

You NEVER need an excuse for a 1911.

Thanks for posting. I showed it to some LEOs and they all loved it.

I also got a chance to shoot a fronds 1911. I was a lot more accurate with it than my current HK 40.  Why is it things work like that.

Flat is a relative term.

Inside 125 yards I would tend to agree, but 165 yards definitely requires skill -
