Seen along the route Google Maps gave me as directions from home to the New Philadelphia, Ohio Appleseed. :)

The sign's got reasonably fresh paint on it, so you should be okay. You only need to worry when the sign looks like it's been bead-blasted with 00 buckshot. (grin)

I wasn't really worried since I was in a Jeep just thought it was humorous. :)
Driving a Jeep sure is nice. "I don't have to worry about the road because I drive a Jeep." That, folks, is the "Jeep thing" you've heard us talking about.
I wonder what would happen if one of Google's self-driving cars followed their maps up onto that road? >:D
I've seen a couple of their prototypes around the Bay Area, both Prius'. Not exactly your high-clearance ride! ;D
It would probably be ok, the road was actually in better shape than when I saw it last year. I think someone took a load of gravel and spread it out on part which had been washed out. It's really only a small section (a little less than 0.2 of a mile) of the road which the sign applied to. A little further on though the road becomes a single lane tar and chipped old fashioned country road which might give the Google self-driving cars' lane following algorithms fits. ;D

I'd only have started worrying if I'd heard banjos.
;D
Google maps must be out to get us... no joke, here is where I ended up one day after a wrong turn... I couldn't resist taking a picture....
