Okay, so I've already asked a few if they are interested in attending to pass out fliers, but thought maybe it'd be a good thing to post it on here. Apparently, Schuetzenfest (http://www.kolpingcincinnati.com/Schuetzenfest.html) is a German/Catholic marksmanship festival in Cincinnati, July 20, 21 & 22. I thought you guys might be interested in attending or spreading the word to a crowd that is possibly very interested in participating in an AS!
Any thoughts?
(I can't take a hat right now, but it doesn't mean I can 7th step it!)
Sure you can take a hat, A Blue Hat! There is still commitment involved! and a country to save!
Sounds like you are doing great.

It is a great time!!!

Okay, I chatted with the guy at work... he's on the committee for this event. Apparently you have to join the Kolping society in order to shoot in the competition... maybe they don't want some outsiders to show them up? :---
Anyway, it might still be an interesting thing to check out. I've got a couple brochures to pass out... but I may need some extras!
Huzah!
Well... it seemed like a good idea at the time. :-\
After arriving, I quickly realized that this was very similar to most Catholic/German festivals I have attended in the past... the main activities were fund raising, or gambling - depending on how you view all that, and drinking beer. Once I got past all of the "games" that were centered around the fund raising I eventually made it back to the shooting.
I must have had a very creative imagination about what I expected to see. But to keep this short, it was not the venue I had expected. I did not hand out a single flyer. Hopefully the shirt caught at least one eye...
Because :pics: , I have attached a few showing the target, the shooting platform and the layout.
Hmmm...interesting :))
