I've been wanting to post this for several weeks, and I am just now getting the chance. I wanted to let you Appleseed instructors know that you ARE making a difference.
My son who is a freshman in high school is in a class where they are required to do 4 projects and/or reports a year on pretty much any topic they choose. One of his reports earlier this year was on the battle of Lexington and Concord and how marksmanship was a factor in the outcome. I could not have been more proud! He chose this topic completely on his own and I didn't even know he was doing it until he asked for my copy of Paul Revere's Ride. (Although I did take him and my daughter to 3 Appleseeds in 2011).
So just to let you know, kids are not zoning out during the history portion, kids are listening, and they get it. Your passion for what you do comes through. Thank you!
By the way, he got an A on his report. :)
