Title: Calverton, NY February 25/26,2012 AAR
Post by: Dakota on February 27, 2012, 06:58:34 PM
Another Great weekend in the Calverton Sand. High winds on Saturday made us think how nice grass must be to lay on, but we all stuck it out.
Everyone will get real familiar with their rifle when they clean it this time!

The IIT's and Shooters made my SBIT duties a little too easy, I'm sure it doesn't always go this smooth. Thanks Guys. :cool2:

No new Riflemen this weekend, I'm sure Josh would have made it Sunday with his bolt action.22 but he couldn't make it back.
Mike was at it again but didn't score his targets, he's shooting for a personal goal now and competing against himself. (I saw at least two of his targets that were easily 220's)
George deserves a mention for finally Clearing the RedCoat! O0

We had one Manhattan Appleseeder from Westchester take multiple trains, a yellow cab, and walk a mile to get to us! (Next time we'll pick him up). Great guy, I'm sending him your way JoseyWales, Hopewell Junction must be closer for him?!

Big Thanks to AnnieMae for helping me with the Admin, Now if I could only get her to do my homework too. (I got a Crisp $2 bill if anyone wants to fill out a reimbursment form) :sos:

VietVet and AugustSon took some photo's, I'm sure they will post them when they can.

Calverton is back on the map!

Dakota pretty well summed it up....WIND & SAND! Wait, that's Calverton!
Great job at SBIT Mike. NY get ready for another Shoot Boss.
It was really nice to show up and just sit , relax and just keep an eye on things. Wait, that's what I always do.  ;D

Shooters and Instructors were great. Worked very well with each other. Although the weather wasn't what we wanted at least it didn't rain.

Not much more to say Dakota had everything very much under control. I did take photos but I'll let August Son post his. He's got that photo bucket figured out. I'm still totally confused by that entire set up.

Well done ALL!

Was sad to hear about what had happened to the firing line, but it sounds like the Calverton crew prevailed! Wish I was there with you guys! Huzzah!

Great work guys!

Looks like the Brooklyn Crew continues to grow!  Rachel brought another one!

Why fix the target line?  Let's just do it Calverton old school - we can tape AQTs to spackle bucket lids on the hillside.
