Anyone have any experience with E. Arther Brown replica M1 Carbine sights for the 10/22 "Liberty Training Rifle" (from their web site)??

New shooter for the Mar 3/4 shoot called with questions.
Any help is appreciated.
Is there a reason why you would use these over Tec Sites?
Roland
I think because the rifle is the Ruger 10/22-FS with the screw-on flash suppressor and no dovetail for the front site, and these seem to slide over the barrel.

Hi Floyd,
I have not tried these sights, but they look to me like the early M1 Carbine type that only had two range settings--no further elevation adjustments like the later one they issued. I would think that the lack of elevation adjustment would be a problem, especially with all the differences in .22 rimfire ammo.
I'd do what I could to stick with Tech Sites as I think they're a better deal, just my $.02.
Looking forward to seeing you next week.

No direct experience with the subject sights, but I have NoDak Spud sights on my 10/22 model 1261FS. The front sight is very similar.

Since the 16" FS barrel doesn't have a front sight base, I had to fabricate a filler to go in the channel in the new sight for the set screws to bear on. I see now they make a new model specifically for the model 1261 FS without the channel- (NDS-44).
I'm very pleased with the NoDak products...that replica M1 rear sight doesn't seem to adjust for windage.
Okay...with NoDak Spud being mentioned....
Anybody used a NoDak Rear sight with A Tech Sight front sight?
