With just a couple minutes of work you can reach up to 5 media outlets at a time. This is a fantastic promotional tool that every instructor should be using.
I just used it to contact these magazines:
Kentucky Explorer (email)
Kentucky Living (email)
Kentucky Monthly (letter)
Punch in your zip code, or the zip code of some shoot locations and send a release to the newspapers of your choice!

Anyone got a good boilerplate event notice that has worked with their local papers?

I thought of a cold bore contest!
$1 per shot, one at a time, 100yrds.
Some simple prizes from the AS store,(ie...Coffee mug, cards, oval patch,Challenge coins)on a range that could not Support an AS event!
Then extend that invitation to the group to visit the next closest in location and time!
I also thought in the same scenario, the Rifleman's challenge! ..:..
