Title: Dulzura, CA 10/29-30 2011

San Diego county events draw some good people.  Individials, friends, and families: shooters filled the entire line Saturday.

Redcoats and squares harried the shooters, causing skills to sharpen.

A group of Americans practicing their Second Amendment rights makes an inspiring sight, a thunderous sound.

Some persons hadn't shot before, others hadn't shot in thirty years.

People learned to distinguish the helpful from the harmful in their shooting.

They learned how to coach themselves and each other.

Posterity heard The Story.  We will pass it along.

AQTs revealed one Riflewoman and two Riflemen.

Kiu shot 215, although her 'friends' led her to believe that she hadn't scored that well until the moment patches were handed out.  Appleseed humor at work.  Just wait- she'll get you back someday.  Kiu's new orange hat is a good match to her high spirits.

John hadn't shot in decades before this event.  And yet he executed to distinction, earning a patch.  Well shot, John.  Hope you'll return with some friends.

Abu Josh, (some people call him 'Alan', which is apparently some kind of nick name) shot over 230 and earned another patch.  Determination to succeed and a sharp focus are what you think of observing Abu Josh work.  Serving our country as Marines do is more than a full time job- but sir, you may have an Orange Hat any time you may choose to wear one.

Returning students Seventh Stepping placed more shooters on the line.  Good job.

Danielle, Ethan and Trevor, our young shooters, battled the targets.  Danielle took some few short breaks to read her Princess book, and then, when ready to shoot again, hummed sweetly while dropping rounds into a Marlin 60 tube, "Hmm hmmm hmmm hm hm hm hm, (plunk plunk), hmmm ha- hmm hmm hmmm, (plunk-plunk-plunk)..."

Rests, bipods, and avoiding transitions were good matches for our young persons.

Sunday decreased the number of shooters to nine by the end of the day.

People stayed to clean up and leave the range in good order.

San Diego, thank you for celebrating Liberty with Appleseed this past weekend.

Our Posterity paid attention.

This event far exceeded my expectations.  I attended this event with my son and was very impressed with the quality of instruction and excellent attention to safety.

Everything was top notch, from the personal instruction to the story telling.

Francis, Greg, Joseph and Jeff were amazing.  They really cared about your progress, and I'm looking forward to seeing them at future events.

Everyone met at the event was personable and kind.

I'll definitely be attending the next even in my area if time permits.

Anyone know where I can get a AR-15 lower with a RWVA logo roll mark? ;-)  I'd like to see Issac Davis on a a AR-15 some day.

JD machines in SD will make custom lowers.. But I've heard they have been having quality issues with their lowers.. Mostly over anodizing.

Babycakes, would be good for the RWVA to order a ton and sell them at cost ;-)  Any information on RWVA group buys in the past?
