Another great sold-out Appleseed this weekend at Tri-Cities Gun Club in Goldsby. 27 shooters on Saturday and 14 Sunday. Four new Riflemen!
Way to go, Dale & Co. O0
Great Weekend for America.
POP
Waaaaaaaaay awesome weekend. A huge thanks to all the instructors. I learned a WHOLE lot and got me really excited about marksmanship. I am exhausted and totally sore, but it was completely worth it.
My next goal is to score Rifleman with a bolt action. Gotta start practicing now...
I'm sore, and happy to get Rifleman as well!
Thank you for the instruction. I think the thing that helped push me over that last edge was the "relax" (specifically my left arm) in prone and seated.
We should have one there every 6 months. :)
Agreed. I'll be going to the next Goldsby one again as well.
^:)^ < New Rifleman as well!
Henschman and I will be at the Executive Meeting of the club next month
to talk about the schedule for next year.
Anyone that wants to have two shoots on the schedule for 2012 should
make their wish known to the membership and officers before then.
That could make it easier to get two booked.
I will have some pics up later this evening.
Fine work...looks like a good time was had by all! O0
Man, I had a lot of fun instructing at this one. For one thing, it was the first time for about a year and a half that I was NOT the shoot boss! Way to step up, Dale! ;) The students were awesome. Most of them really persisted at improving their marksmanship, and it showed. The fella who shot Rifleman on the first AQT at the end of the day Saturday was particularly impressive... with a bolt gun, no less. Those CZ's are nothing to sneeze at though... thanks to the gentleman who gave me some mags for mine. They worked... I got to shoot through one AQT on Sunday, and proved that I still deserve to wear that patch! ;) simplethinking, boom-mug, firecracker, good to see you guys on here. I hope I'll be seeing y'all around some more. For every shooter who made Rifleman there was one who was really close. Chris almost had it. boom-mug, you really surged at the end and probably would have had it with a little more time. There were lots more and I'm really bad with names, but I hope to see you all again soon on the firing line! Get out to the range and practice and do some dry fire, and I've got a patch with your name on it!
My sincere thanks go to the Tri-City Gun Club for letting us use their outstanding facilities, and I hope that we will be allowed to return soon. This event undoubtedly advanced both of our organizations' common goals of promoting the safe enjoyment of the shooting sports.
See ya next time,
henschman
boom-mug did get it. Twice. haha John was the one that scored a 214 and followed it up with a 216 on Sunday.
Oh OK... I thought boom mug was the gent at the shoot who went by "Boomer." Right on.
Server would not take pics on Tuesday.
Trying again.

Congratulations to all of our new riflemen! Don't stop now!... we always need to continue to improve. Every one of us needs to remember to do our "homework": Practice getting into the positions, the use of the sling, breathing, NPOA, etc.
By looking at the pictures, we've got some serious American marksmen, and I am proud to be associated with each and every one who participated this last weekend. Since I am quite imperfect, I hope any mistakes I made as an Instructor-in-training will not be a permanent blemish on my record, in the eyes of the Instructors and the shooters. I shall "persist" in the effort to be an asset to Appleseed. I hope to see everyone again, soon!
