For rimfire .22 rifles, I have found that these verticle split, rings by Leupold, less than $12.
These clamp on to the 3/8" raised dovetail.

I use them on all my loaners with scopes.
I also like the Barska "easy shot" reticle rifle scopes.

The circle around the center allows for easy target aquisition...

Thanks. I have some unknown rings on my "in the process of being put together" LTRs. I bought the rifles both used but in "like new" condition. One of which is a pre 1969 model in walnut with blued barrel (nice!) and the other, a more recent model with a stainless barrel and a birch stock. I thought I'd put a camo hogue overmolded stock on the stainless one. Both have metal trigger . They both were outfitted with scopes, one is a Tasco Pronghorn 4x32 and the other has a Simmons 3x9x32. The Tasco seems pretty ancient so I may replace it with a little better one.
These are the rings I just bought for my other Rugers which will not be loaners due to the $$ of the scopes and the propensity of people using the loaners to drop, scratch and otherwise misuse loaners. :wb: They are more expensive at $53.99 but if they'll stay tight, I'll be happy.

Thanks for the topic. I've heard of that Barska scope before. I'll check it out. It looks like it would be a good one for loaners.
Dunhams often offer Barska products on sale. I'll look for that scope. The Dunhams near me (Butler and Seneca Pennsylvania) Have been very supportive, putting out flyers and posters for Appleseed.
For a bit more, I've heard good things about Burris scope rings for dovetail scope rings.
Agree on Burris. Rings. All my 10/22's wear Burris Signature Zee rings.
For LTR's pick the best deal on a name brand set of rings. Picking between name brands has been covered all over the internet. Google rimfire rings for more detail.
Avoid the noname cheapie rings. You will have more time to spend with the shooter if you aren't fixing your ltr.
Don't forget to use loctite / nail polish on the rings searching for small screws on a firing line during a prerp period is no fun.
