Hi all,
I have a homeschooler parent that wants to bring our her two boys and one girl. Three total. She might want to shoot too.
She needs some loaner rifles. Will anybody be there that can help with this?
Thanks

Thanks scuzzy,
As per my return PM, I will get in touch with the Instructor Corp here in WA to put out the word. Unfortunately not all check the forum regularly.

I'm going to be at that shoot. I plan on hitting some pawn shops to look for a couple loaner 22's. What should I expect to pay for used 22 rifles and are they commonly available?

The rifles probably aren't cheap. I hope you're not doing that just for this request.
While I'd like to get the people out I hate to imagine you buying rifles just for that, especially if they don't show up!

I currently don't have any loaner rifles and had planned on getting 1 or 2 for personal use anyway. I'm hoping to bring non-rifle-owning friends and family to Appleseeds in the future.

Shadowman,
loaner rifles dont have to be expensive, I averaged between $100 and $120 for mine.
06en; I have 4 or 5 loaners if you need them Remington 597's

Are you going that way? I may very well not be there to deliver them.
I have also sent out the SOS :sos:

Good chance I mat be passing by your way on the way home to the shoot might be able to pick them up,,trouble is I would not know if I would be passing back that way on the way out ,,,,and whats the worst thing that has happened to rifle's left at Castle Rock DAR ???, they get cleaned :cool2:.
Wade
I will not be attending this shoot, but if anyone from the Yakima area will be traveling to it, I have two .22s I would be happy to send along. ..:..
Just pm me.

George,
I searched all the pawn shops in Portland looking for a cheap (reasonably priced) 10/22 and they were all priced higher than the new BiMart price. Wait until they go on sale at BiMart and you should be able to get one for $179. Cabalas frequently has the Marlin tube fed model on sale for $99.
I have one loaner, but will not be at the Castle Rock AS. I could probably get it to another instructor in Vancouver during that week if it is needed.
We have 2 loaners, but I think 1 is spoken for (Kenny). One for sure will be there, and if Andrew (Steve's son) works this shoot maybe he will have one.

Joni and Theo are gonna be there? Ah, soo ah Theo...? IPC??? >:D
Thanks for checking into this. I just emailed the lady that we're still working on it.
Let me know what the final count will be. You might want to PM me too once we've got it figured out. For some reason I'm not getting notification about new posts the last day or two (the 'Notify me of replies' deal)
Any idea of a final tally on the number of rifles y'all can bring out?
I'd like to reply back soon to the homeschool lady.

Andrew will be there! He is excited about learning the instructor ropes.
Robert and I are going to be diligently trying to match his performance. We will have at lease one spare rifle.

I've got two loaners, I'll be sure to bring them with me! :---

Scuzzy,
Looks like you will have the necessary rifles. This is the tally of loaner rifles the folks who will be at Castle Rock will bring with them:
Theophilus and Joni: 1 rifle
Steve C: 1 rifle
Ducko: 2 rifles
Thanks, OnlyHitsCount, for the offer to loan your two spares, but I don't think they will be needed. :)

Good on the Rifles being brought to loan out ,,I won't have to dig out the single shot .22's at home ,,,,,,

You guys are great. Thanks so much. I'm about to email the lady, her name is Becky, to go ahead and bring out the kids.
Thanks again. O0
I just got an email from Becky saying she won't be able to attend this event after all. Sorry to put y'all through all this effort for nothing.
I do appreciate what you all did.
