This weekend, the Texas Instructor crew sent some of our finest Instructors to shoot the Texas State Rifle Association Service Rifle Championship matches.
Friday AM was the Team President's Cup match (4 team members, 30 shots each. 200yds slow fire Standing Offhand (no sling), 300yd rapid fire prone, and 600 yard slow fire prone). Our two teams did very well considering this was the first competition for most. Team Lexington and Team Concord finished 11th and 12th out of 14 teams.
Team Parker's Revenge finished out Friday with the Infantry Trophy match in the afternoon. After a rough start at 600yds, the team finish strong at 500 and 300 and pulled a 6th place finish!!
Saturday was the individual NRA Across the Course championship match. Four instructors shot the course and performed very well given the high profile match (over a 100 participants).
Sunday brought the CMP Leg match, and again four instructors shot very well across the course. DoubleLL even came within striking distance of earning Leg points. Everyone shot well given the tricky beast that is the wind conditions at Camp Swift.
Thanks to Criss and Kirk for providing the team with matching snazzy t-shirts. Appleseed was well represented and many in the High Power world are taking notice of how well Appleseeders shoot out of the gate.
