Title: Dennis Hendricks, Sr.
Post by: POP on September 20, 2011, 01:01:30 AM
Sad news.
Dennis Hendricks, Sr., passed from this world on September 12, 2011, of an apparent heart attack.

Dennis and his wife lived in Matamoras, Mexico, across from Brownsville.  He attended the inaugural Appleseed in Corpus Christi and we kept in touch off and on since.  He stayed at my place with Gooch and BDG, & metalbot..
As a TugBoat Pilot for the US Merchant Marine, Dennis kept pretty busy.
He knew Captain Gooch, an Oathkeeper and Appleseeder and friend to all, and it was Gooch who turned Dennis on to Appleseed.

Couple of things about Dennis:
* He loved his wife,
* He loved his country,
* He loved rifle marksmanship and American Heritage,
* He was the kind of person you could get to know easily and always know that even if you hadn't seen each other for a long time he would remember you and be glad to see you whenever that was.
* I can honestly say he was my friend and, I am proud to have known him.

Gooch is writing something up for me to post re: Dennis.
I didn't really know Dennis all that well myself. We
met when he emailed me after having found the Oath
Keepers and discovering that I was both a Merchant
Marine Captain like he was and a member of Oath Keepers.
I turned him on to the RWVA and the Appleseed Project.

Rest Peacefully Dennis but, keep your powder dry.
