Looking for the cheapest acceptable sighting solutions for loaner Marlin / Glenfield .22s. If I can fab it myself, even better.
Depends on what you call cheap. Tech sights, are around 70. depending on where you get the scope from you can scope it for around 30-40. If you scope it, make sure you get a hollow fun noodle from wal mart. slice off a length, slice open one side and duct tape it to the stock for a cheeck piece.
I am a big fan of the tech sights for my Glenfield 60. They make my rifle look more like a service rifle and for those of us who LOVE the tube fed rifles, it lets us show the others that we can shoot as well as or better than those MAG people.
Cheers
Errr....the factory sights?

Son of Martha: The factory sights are poor on most of the marlins, and the ones I've been picking up are usually missing parts (like the elevator, front, or rear sight). But for $25 to $50 (used marlins have nowhere near the market value of rugers), I'm not complaining.
