Title: M1 Garand Conversion Stock for 10/22
Post by: maustypsu on September 07, 2011, 10:39:52 PM
I have a 10/22 and was thinking of putting an M1 Garand style stock on it.  Yes, I know I don't need it!  But more importantly I wanted to confirm that the sling will set up OK for an appleseed shoot?  I have a group headed to Ramseur in Oct!

If anyone has this specific set up does the standard military web sling work just fine?

I have seen the M1 Carbine Ruger 10/22 and would love to see how a M1 Garand Ruger 10/22 would look...

Here's a pic of the M1 Carbine Ruger 10/22 taken from : http://www.eabco.com/m1_carbine_ruger_1022_tribute.htm

Please keep us posted on how it comes out and best of luck to you  O0

Here's my 10/22 Garand build. I have also built a couple of 10/22 carbines out of GI stocks with GI hardware and parkerizing the barrel of the Ruger. The Garand stock is weighted to feel and swing like a full size Garand. They shoot as well as any 10/22.
