Proceeds from this non-profit event will be donated to advance local conservation efforts.
This event is being hosted by The Salem Hunting Club in Salem, OH.
We've proudly hosted 2 successful AS events.
Based on the premise of The History Channel's hit series "Top Shot", contestant's over all skill sets will be challenged on ten stages that will involve using bow and arrows, center fire and rim fire handguns and rifles fired from off-hand and bench positions. Additional stages are also scheduled. Unlike the television show, there will not be any physical challenges involved and there are no elimination rounds.
I'm limiting the number of participants to 50 so as to keep this organized and efficient.
(I all ready have 3-4 Riflemen signed up :cool2:)
Winners will be decided on the overall best scores. Prizes include a custom designed trophy and cash for 1st place, second and third place.
All ammunition and firearms will be provided.
Participants and spectators are required to provide their own eye/ear protection which must be worn.
This event is open to the public. Pre-registration is required and only the first fifty registration forms received will be accepted.
The entry fee is $20. Lunch will be available for purchase.
Brian "Gunny" Zins will be on hand for a Meet n Greet.
Come out to meet the first runner up from Season 2 on Top Shot.

Sounds like a great time! Thanks to the Salem Hunting Club for hosting Appleseeds!
Thanks MS.
Appleseed made such an impact on me I felt it was my duty to ensure our club sponsored AS events.
I'm predicting a Rifleman win our event btw.
Any way to get a Jr. competition up and running? I know plenty of kids (myself included) that would love to compete.
Doug
Hi Doug,
I'm guessing you're under 18?
We have nothing in the works for this year, but you just sparked a great idea I intend to look into for the future!
If you're close enough, I encourage you to come out for this event though.
Yep 15 today!!! I may be able to come as a spectator and see how things go
Doug
Happy Birthday!!
I hope it's been a great one!
Is the registration still open?
We're close to full.
I mentioned in another forum that I'd accept anything post marked by Wed. 10/5/11.
By any chance are you local (Salem, OH area)?
"By any chance are you local" - Jake
No. I was just wondering if it was still open. It looks like a great event.
