We of the West Texas/Southeastern New Mexico Area of Project Appleseed have received a truly inspirational gift this weekend:
It is my distinct honor to introduce to Project Appleseed these men and women whom "....truly know what they are about!!!" Jeff A, who walked into his 3rd event as a shooter (having shot a Rifleman score in January), only to be placed under an Orange hat before he could start the event. Thanks for stepping up Jeff! Next, another returning Rifleman, who consistently shot the AQT to a Rifleman's standard in January. Andy F. arrived to shoot on Sunday and also accepted the challenges that come with taking the 7th step! Hoowa!!!
Aaron T. showed us his true colors at his inaugural event by scoring a 240 on the first AQT of Sunday and remaining consistent to the Rifleman's standard from there. Aaron also stepped up to join the West Texas/Southeastern New Mexico cadre.
Our Brave Women of this event; Debbie A. and Katherine G. continuously moved toward the elusive Rifleman's score, but ended the weekend still on the hunt. Keep coming back... you'll be there soon!
Robert D. attended his first Appleseed having never worked with a Rifle before. His improvement over the weekend will have him shooting to a Rifleman's standard directly!
Sincere thanks to Milt and Margie B., Jeff C. and John G. (duc-dog, Appleseed Widow, Just Jeff and Grizzled One) for rounding out our instructor Cadre for this event. As always, it is a real pleasure working with all of you!
Thanks to Johnny E., the Administration and Staff of The El Paso Community College's Law Enforcement Training Academy for the use of this State of the Art facility!!!
Here's looking forward to more truly wonderful experiences with you all!!!
"...till we meet again..." Happy Trails,
Jerry
.
What a great group of shooters. Welcome Andy, Jeff and Aaron, Thanks for stepping forward and accepting an orange hat.
We had several more shooters that are knocking at the door of that "Rifleman" score.
A little practice and a lot of dryfiring will get you to that next level. Remember, only perfect practice makes perfect.
Thank you Jerry for your hard work in getting EL Paso on the map again. Thanks to Johnny and the El Paso Community College for providing a world class training facility.
Hold hard and favor center,
Milt
Thanks Milt!!! :--- :--- :--- :--- :---
