Title: Approximate size of AQT targets at 50 yards
Post by: lhommedieu on August 18, 2011, 10:17:46 PM
I'm shooting my Ruger 10/22 at my local range and was wondering how to convert the AQT targets for a distance of 50 yards.  Do you simply double the size of the 25 yard targets or is the math more complicated than that?

Best,

Steve

Why are you asking? Can't you shot it at 25m . 82ft

Just suck it up and shoot the AQT at 50m.   @&)

Stage one will be representative of a 200yd target.
Stage two will be representative of a 300yd target
Stage three will be representative of a 400yd target
Stage four will be representative of a 500 yd target.

If you can put all your rounds into the targets at 50, then you won't have ANY problems at 25.   :---

My 'gut' says yes, but I just finished supper too!  ;D  There are a number of threads, see Printable 11x17 PDF Printable Target, Your Appleseed State Board, Florida where I suspect your your question will be answered.

Best of luck,
Tom

One of the ranges I shoot at has a 50 yard rimfire range.  They don't allow target stands at different distances like they do the pistol range.

Steve, if your range is 50 meters, then copy the AQT and drill targets at 200% of the original size.  If your range is 50 yards, then copy them at 183% of the original size.

Same here:  Rifle distances start at 50 yards and go up to 300 yards.  183% for 50 yards sounds good.
Thanks for the response.

Best,

Steve

This may just solve my 20/500 at 10 Sighting question.
