Title: AAR Como, MS August 13-14, 2011
Post by: dart67eb on August 15, 2011, 02:59:54 PM
Another Como 'seed blessed by good weather!  If we keep this up, we'll lose our reputation for being hardcore.  I'm glad to see everybody had a good time and everybody's marksmanship and historical knowledge improved throughout the weekend.  Even though we didn't make any riflemen, we saw a 204, some 190's, 180's and some 170's.   Knocking on the door and next time you should be over the top.  Remember, dryfire!

Two of our military guys signed out .22 ammo from their unit and had to account for the brass.  Headstamp and all.  And we pay for shrimp on treadmills?

Chuck and I really enjoyed the shoot and hope to make it back in October.  Going to give the shoulder some rest from the M1A and try with the .22 next time.  Thanks dart67eb and Hornet41 for a fun and informative day!

Another great Como shoot. Good weather, although quite warm we had a good breeze most of the time. The dust was like talcum powder and got into everything!!!
Bryan was struggling with scope issues and had to leave the line for corrective action. He returned to continue the grind! Caleb and J.P. had .22 conversion kits in their M4's that caused constant problems. I almost fell out when I found out they had to account for the .22 brass!!! Peggy and Jenny Had lots of problems with failure to extract but stuck with it to score respectably. Darrind was shooting his M1A I was feeling for his shoulder by Sunday's "Grind". Chuck showed great persistence was applying the fundamentals well. Great attitudes were exhibited by all and all learned a lot.
I hope to see most of the shooters again in October!!!
