- The Shooters
15 fantastic Americans arrived Saturday and Sunday to exercise their rights given to them by their creator and happiness was a pursuit that was easily obtained.

Victor and Rachel both had an amazing teachable attitude and the hunger. Victor, remember what Thomas Paine said? "That which we obtain too easily, we esteem too lightly." I cannot wait to see you down the Appleseed trail.

Chelsea, Jennifer and Chris, it was a pleasure! I hope to see you all at the next shoot. Thanks for holding back and not making us guys look too bad. Wish I had a "Shoot like a girl, if you can" hat for the both of you. Let me know the next event you'll be at so I can stock them up.

Nate! As our youngest attendee the future is in your hands, and with your dedication, devotion to perfection, and unwillingness to settle for mediocrity, I feel comfortable with our future IN your capable hands. I am positive your father will be proud of the man you become, as a young man you are already inspiring.

Charles (Chuck) and Sid. Thank you so much for attending. Sid, like I said before, marksmanship is like chess. A day to learn and a lifetime to master. Chuck, outstanding performance. Judging by the "shop talk" I heard, you guys will continue challenging each other on the range as well. Congratulations Chuck on your Rifleman's score.

Geoffrey. Geoffrey heard about Project Appleseed in Hawaii, and has been waiting to get back to CONUS to attend one. I'm glad the Project is making it's reputation across the Ocean, I'm even happier that Geoffrey attended here in Southern California. Congratulations to you sir, another of California's newest rifleman!

Anthony, thanks for coming is all I need to say. You two put a smile on my face that didnt leave for quite a while.

Kari, I'm a little embarrassed that it took me all day to reach the a-ha moment. You are really doing something special and opening the door to future generations. It is really incredible. That "Picasso" you brought with you was amazing too, and you handle it like a pro. I am thankful to have met you. What you have done/are doing is simply amazing. You have my utmost respect.

Jeremy and Michael, you have all the skills and they will all come together with a little perseverance. Continue on with perfect practice and you'll make it over the hump shortly.

Alan, congratulations on the Rifleman's score! Chuck, thanks for attending, hope you enjoyed hearing your/our story.

All of you did a tremendous job and I thank you for your attendance, I really got so much out of meeting each and every one of you.

-The Instructors

Gentlemen, thank you for your dedication and performance. You guys are the ones that made the shoot happen and I'd be glad to work for you all any time.

-The Range

This really was a beautiful well kept range. I want to thank Mr. Tom Fox and the South Bay Rod and Gun club for their hospitality. We are all fortunate to be able to use the top notch facility there.

I hope to see you all with your friends and family in the future on the Appleseed Trail!

First, just let me say that I had an absolutely awesome time and I know that everyone else out there did as well.  Hats off to the instructors for taking time out of their busy schedules and away from their families to come and pass along these fine traditions, skills, and stories of our heritage.  I will always remember these two days and the skills that were taught to us.  Someday, I hope to pass these skills and fond memories on to my son and daughter and spark in them a sense of pride for our nation as you have re-kindled that sense in me.  Thank you for a truly amazing experience.

I love how the bayonet on my SKS makes it look that much cooler.  Hopefully, somewhere, a Hippie is crying because of it.  I still wish yall would have let me charge the Redcoat targets with it.....  And you gotta love the Garand, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, ting!  Classic.
