Where I shoot, the standard targets are full size silhouette Rams at 200 yards, offhand. There are a number of books about BPCR and I have found those of Paul Mathews to be among the most informative. There is also Steve Garbe and Mike Venturino's load book.

For 500 I think that the target is a 36" buffalo using crossed sticks.

My sole BPCR is a .43 Spanish Manufactured by Remington in IL in excellent condition. They shoot RAMBASH as sort of described above at my home range once a month.

go to the page and check out the target pictures at the bottom to get an idea.

the targets are mounted to a metal fence post you can get an idea of their size from that.

the ranges and targets change from year to year.
