As we all know and have experienced the Bluehats are responsible for the smooth running of Appleseeds. Ohio needs more Blue hats. Please all shoot bosses and instructors begin to promote them. If there is someone who has a continual struggle hitting the RM score let them know about the AC position. Since there is no requirement other than stepping up and helping out it should be an easy position to fill. With a stronger and larger Blue hat base promoting Appleseed will be easier and less time consuming on everyone. Please spread the word like you do with the IIT's position. Also let it be known that one can hold bothe AC and IIT positions. Thanks and hope to see you all on the trail soon,

I am an "equal opportunity" promoter. I promote the position of IIT right along side the position of "we need you to get on our forum and count stuff. And that's just as important, if not more, than being an IIT. So, please come out and help us in any way you can. We'd be glad to have you."
In all seriousness folks, being an instructor is the easy part. It's those other 28 days that keep us going!
Can you post some more info on the Blue Hat program? This is the first I've heard of it and am interested.

The blue hats are the Applecore folks. They are the best support staff an organization can have. The Applecore Liaison for Ohio is Dougum. Check out the forum thread above and give a shout out to Dougum via PM. He can help you with all the answers you may need, or he will find the answer for you!

Please post some description of what Blue hat is and is expected to do. Ratchett's link wouldn't work for me and I spent awhile searching for a description with no luck the other day.

A blue hat is an Applecore volunteer that helps out at the shoots. We also organize gunshows and other promotional events. Any skills that one has can be used to further the project and there is no rifle man qualification needed to join. If you have any questions please PM me

The AppleCore is as Dougum said, it is a person who wants to step up to help out to promote the Mission and Message of Project Appleseed.
It is Project Appleseed' s Auxiliary Team of men and women who may or may not have reached the RIFLEMAN score, feel they cannot jump on board as an IIT to become a full instructor, but can help out at shoots as Boots On The Ground. Helping the shoot boss with the range set up, admin duties, LSO/RSO duties. Doing promotions and coming up with new ideas to promote AS. Working different venues to get the word out to as many folks as we can reach. Behind the scenes types of duties.
