I saw this at Academy and Gander. It only comes in a bulk pack of 1000 rounds as far as I have seen. Has anyone used it and had any good luck with it? I would like to try it in my 10/22 but I don't want to buy 1000 rounds if it won't work as well as what I am using now.

That's why a lot of us have a variety of 'give away' ammo at the shoots..... yeah, it's a little pricey to just give away, but buying it is usually the only way to see if your rifle(s) like it. Yours might like not like it and the next guys 10/22 might (or vice-versa).
I do like Winchester M-22 ammo, Had only one failure to extract, late on a very Hot Sunday, after a Thunderstorm with a rifle that had Not been cleaned the night before (I know Excuses, excuses).
Very accurate ammo thru 4 different 10/22's. If it were a little cheaper I would run this ammo exclusively.
OK, so I have used some of this ammo now. Here are my conclusions.
First off, I found it at Wal-Mart for $44.95 I believe. To me, that's pretty cheap. I know buying online in cases can get cheaper but it's not bad. To compare...
Federal Champion Lead (510): was 3.8 now about 4.2 cents a shot
Winchester M-22: 4.5 cents a shot
CCI Mini-Mag: 7 cents a shot
Now those are prices from places scattered in my town
Out of about 500 M-22 rounds I have had about three or four duds. I have a friend that says he had many more but that has been my experience. I had no jams until over 300 rounds in a gun I purposely did not clean just to test this ammo on. The same gun got to where it would jam after about 50 rounds of cheaper ammo but would run CCI Mini-Mag in most any condition.
To me M-22 just looks like a round nose jacketed version of copper plated Super-X, only with black die in the copper plating. The brass does tend to be dirty, it's not quite as polished as most everything else I buy and some of it has little black tarnish spots on it.
One thing I should have done was put CCI Mini-Mag in the rifle that started jamming just to see if it smoothed out but I just set that rifle aside to clean later and continued on with another. These are my observations so far although probably much more in depth than I needed to go.

We had several folks using this stuff at the BG shoot this weekend. we had a few with oversized bullets causing failure to chamber in a few different rifles. 795's and 10/22's alike. you know you got a big bullet when that abyss that ruger calls a chamber wont swallow a round LOL. other than that it ran great no duds etc. just the occasional stoppage.
As 336 stated above, his friend with the duds is me

I have had over 30 duds in the first 500 rds of Win M-22 with my Rem 597. The duds were then loaded into my son's Rossi single, or my HD-Military and struck again. Maybe one or two of them fired but most were pure dudedness. The accuracy is good for the price of the ammo, though.
I picked up 1000 rounds of this not to long ago, and my initial thoughs after firing 500 rounds of it is that it is CRAP! for plinking it is fine, but for target it is total junk, @ 25 yards I am making quarter size groups with .22 ammo. total junk if you plan to shoot an appleseed or to sight in your rifle if you ask me. I used CCI target pistol and I put 10 rounds though the same hole. changed my ammo to Eleys target (yellow box) $6.00 for a box of 50 and I am putting 10 rounds through the same hole once again, 10 round groups half the size of a dime. I used Federal bulk ammo for my first appleseed and it shoot similar to the winchester I did qualify with a 240 so it can be done if your a proficent shooter, but if your a beginner pay the extra money for the good stuff, you will get more out of the shooting clinic if you dont have to worrie wether its your ammo that is lacking or you.
